This and That
(from here and there, every now and then)

He and and his brother woke up one morning and remembering a special occasion for their mother decided to prepare a breakfast in bed for her. They set out to work in the kitchen but the flour and the eggs and the butter seem to fly all over making an awful mess. The noise of clanging pots and pans woke up mother who, seeing what was happening, exclaimed: "What on earth are you doing for heaven's sake?" God must be saying the same thing as God looks down upon the mess we have made of God's kitchen. We just hope that God would look through the mess into the good intentions of some of us and bless the mess.

May every sermon we preach and every act of kindness and compassion we do, personally and in our churches, be the image of Jesus looking at people hard in the eye and loving them!

Do pray for the Medical/Dental team from our Annual Conference currently engaged in Volunteer in Mission work in the Philippines. Pray also for the Fact-finding Team looking into the senseless killing of pastors and priests and other community organizers particularly targeted for their work of empowering the poor, the oppressed, and the disenfranchised people.
