This advanced class will be an in-depth study of Paul, covering his life, journeys, letters, theology, and problems in the early Christian church. It will include videos of archeological sites where he started churches.

#2 – February 17 United Methodist History, Theology & Organization *
Teachers: Rev. Jim Horton and Rev. Darrell Thomas
A basic course designed to give all United Methodists a better understanding and appreciation of their church – its beginnings, its belief system, and its unique organizational structure.

#3 – March 03 Introduction to Lay Leadership *
Teacher: Rev. Jan Brim
A required basic course (in place of the Communications class) to help potential lay speakers explore all the avenues of ministry that becoming a lay speaker offers. Those who are already lay speakers may also find this class helpful and may receive advanced credit for it.

#4 – April 21 Introduction to the Bible *
Teachers: Rev. Jim Horton and Georgie Summers
A basic course covering how the Bible came to be, the Biblical history of Israel and the New Testament church, the historical and geographical setting of the books of the Bible, and how United Methodists view the Bible.

#5 – October 06 Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts
Teacher: Rev. Neal Neuenburg
This class will focus on helping us to discover the spiritual gifts we have in order to better serve Christ.

#6 – October 27 Dealing with Conflict
Teacher: Jim Frey
This advanced class will explore ways of resolving conflict and misunderstandings in the church and in daily life and how to design a satisfactory solution for all parties involved.
